Finally.. the Hopping Hare travelling roadshow schedule for 2018 is slowly coming together and we will be adding new events to this page over the next couple of months, so check back nearer the time to see which events have been added.

Also if you know of any event that would be good for us, please drop us a line, we love attending new events and meeting new candle lovers all over the UK

Brampton Halt Spring Fair

About:    Held in the gardens of the Brampton Halt Country Pub & Restaurant jsut outside Chapel Brampton

There will be a marquee and other smaller outdoor stalls; craft and food stalls and a speciality gin bar.

Also on site will be a bouncy castle.

Thame Country Show

About:    The Thame Country Show is taking places on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday at the Thame Showground, so if you want to walk off those Easter indulgences, what better way to enjoy the bank holiday out in the fresh air!

With THREE main arenas, supported by a host of smaller country sports arenas and workshops, and the very best in countryside activities and entertainment, we can offer you an unbeatable family day out.

Crafts at Castle Ashby

The Crafts at Castle Ashby shows were established  11 years ago to promote handmade work made by the actual person standing behind the table.

All the exhibitors at the events are vetted to keep standards high and duplication to a minimum.

 Over the last few years ‘craft’ shows had become filled with bought in products, franchises, and offered an opportunity for the retailing of food products.

We decided that our shows were to be for the crafts person who handmade their work and free from retailed gifts.

Visitors are also cared for, with free parking at every venue. Disabled area for blue badge holders and as near to the venue as possible.

Always professional catering with NO burger vans.  An elegant setting in which to sit and enjoy the show usually with music and other entertainment.

Good quality toilets, NOT the blue plastic ones !

Adults –£7, Concession-£6.50, Child (aged 5-16) – £1

Under 5 years  free, Family (2+up to 3 children) – £15

Demonstrations:  Pottery, basketry, chain saw carving, wood turning

Royal Bath & West County Show

About:     The historic show is one of the oldest surviving agricultural shows in England and is the only one to take place over four days. Agriculture is at the heart of this show with over 4500 livestock, sheep shearing, machinery from the past 100 years and the very latest farming technology.

Entertainment is on tap with attractions in the main ring ranging from top class Show-Jumping to the grand parade of prize winning animals.  While the Living Countryside arena showcases the Great British Countryside.

Come and Meet the producers of the finest food and drink in Britain! The Show is in the heart of the West Country which is home to cider and cheddar cheese; and the Show hosts the British Cider Championships and The British Cheese Awards.

Northampton Town Festival

About:   This event has taken the best from the iconic Old Northampton Town Show and The Balloon Festival to bring entertainment, food stalls and bars, live music, giant funfair, fireworks, and of course balloons, all in one place for an action packed weekend that’s ideal for the whole family.

FREE to attend, the Northampton Town Festival will take place across two arenas on the Northampton Racecourse.

About:      Delapré Abbey runs specialist markets throughout the year, each has a different specialism, July is all about handmade beauty products and we will be launching Hopping Hare Aromatics & Botanicals, our essential oil based based hand, bath and shower range. We are happy to be joining our fellow local crafts people in our home town.

 

Yorkshire Dales Food and Drink Festival

About:     Time to dust off the passports so that we ‘southerners’ can get into Yorkshire! We are really delighted to be exhibiting at this fantastic event, that showcases great culinary talent and great UK and international produce with a host of local and specialist chefs and national treasures James Martin and Gino D’Campo. There’s tons going on over the two days, sure to be great fun for all the family in a wonderful Yorkshire Dales setting.

Leamington Art in the Park

About:     This is the fifth art in the Park festival, this years theme is about ‘Trees’ to celebrate Leamington’s historic Jephson Gardens, a hidden tree gem and host to a magnificent 4 day ‘Festival of Oaks’ in Victorian times. Trees are a constant source of inspiration and creativity for to artists in the town’s rich arboretum.  

​There are artists and crafts people with a wide cross section of skills and talents, housed in Gazebo, artist villages and pagodas, there are even people selling from pop up spaces, ‘suitcases’,  so you are bound to find something thought provoking, awe inspiring or just plain beautiful, all in the fabulous setting of Jephson Gardens.

 

The Burnham Market Craft Fair

About:   The Craft Fair consists of over 100 carefully selected crafters stalls which are set out over the Burnham Market Village Greens in the centre of the Village.

Delapre Summer Fete

Where:     Delapre Abbey, Northampton

Stand:     Not know precise location yet, but this is an outdoor event on the lawns of the Abbey, look out for our black gazebo

About:     Delapré are hosting their first summer fete on August Bank Holiday Monday and we will be there to enjoy the last Bank holiday of the year and hopefully not the last of the summer sunshine

Burghley Horse Trials

Christmas Crafts at Sandringham

Scores of crafts specialists will be offering a range of unique handmade gifts that’s bound to include something just right for someone you know.

The Christmas Craft Fair takes place in Sandringham Park, so please be aware that it is not at the Visitor Centre.

 

The Frost Fair at Ragley Hall

When:      Friday 23rd November through to Sunday 25th November 2018

Times:     Open from 10 daily til 5pm

Where:    Ragley Hall, Park and Gardens, Ragley Mill Lane, Alcester, B49, England

Stand:     Hopping Hare Candles will be in the Food and Crafts marquee

About:     

The event contains a carefully selected array of crafts, gifts, unique and original presents and fine foods from 75 stallholders, making The Frost Fair a great opportunity to find special presents.

Car parking is free of charge and located on the Ragley parkland at the front of Ragley Hall. We advise you to wear appropriate footwear.

The Frost Fair will be located within the lower ground floor of the House, with heated marquees on the west terraces and in and around The Stables and Coach House. Entertainment will include choirs, roving musicians, a magician and there may even be a visit from Father Christmas.

The Ragley state rooms and adventure playground will not be open during the event. However the Terrace Cafe at Ragley will be open serving a selection of festive lunches, cakes and refreshments.

 

Tickets:     Adult Tickets – £5.50 .  Accompanied children under 16 – Free . There is an extra charge to see Santa so please refer to the Ragley Hall website for more information
